Guidelines *
Playgrounds beginning with the designation PS5 come from the
Expedition series which means that they are constructed with 5
diameter steel posts, 48 deck grids and 30 plastic tubes to
accommodate larger groups of children. Those designated PS3 come
from the Adventure series which offers the same durability and
quality, but on 3.5 steel posts with 36 deck grids and 24 plastic
tubes, perfect for limited space or budgets. Both series are fully
modular and are designed for a wide age group of children (2-12).
Age 2-5: Weve been to School on Pre-school. The focus for this age
group is on social interaction; activities that make for great group
fun, with just the right level of physical challenge. Activity
panels, slides, climbers, and swings all meet or exceed ASTM, CPSC,
and IPEMA safety guidelines for this age group. The 2-5 age groups
require guard rails and barriers at much lower deck heights for
horizontal ladder launches can only be 18 high. The height of the
horizontal ladder itself cannot exceed 60 from the surfacing.
