Playgrounds beginning with the designation PS5 come from the
Expedition series which means that they are constructed with 5
diameter steel posts, 48 deck grids and 30 plastic tubes to
accommodate larger groups of children. Those designated PS3 come
from the Adventure series which offers the same durability and
quality, but on 3.5 steel posts with 36 deck grids and 24 plastic
tubes, perfect for limited space or budgets. Both series are fully
modular and are designed for a wide age group of children (2-12).
Age 2-12: Where the whole range of children from young to older are
involved, it is necessary to group components to meet the differing
needs of this wide age group. Sometimes separate playgrounds are not
an option, so structures must be created and designed to meet the
needs of both age groups. Here are some of the main issues when
grouping components: Younger children require barriers on lower
decks, older children require wider slide beds, and overhead ladders
must be lower to accommodate younger children. To accommodate both
age groups, both extremes of the guidelines must be met. You must
also make sure to limit use of the playground to one age group at a
time or, if not possible, you must ensure there is enough
supervision to create a safe environment for all the children. You
design the structure, and we will make sure it meets the
regulations. |
